Updating Eclipse manually

Occasionally HireTrack Eclipse will inform you that an update is available but will then fail either during the update download or during updating the program.
If this happens, the latest version of the program can be downloaded from

ftp://ftp.navigator.co.uk/pub/eclipse_auto_updates/eclipse.cab

and the what's new info from 

ftp://ftp.navigator.co.uk/pub/eclipse_auto_updates/WhatsNewInEclipse.txt

Once the .cab file has been downloaded, it can be opened as if a normal folder by both Windows XP or Windows Vista (earlier versions of Windows will require a program such as Winzip). Inside the .cab file will be one exe file. This can be copied over the top of the existing exe file on your PC (you will need to close the HireTarck Eclipse program before doing this). The normal location to find the existing exe will be C:\Program Files\Navigator Systems\Eclipse - you will need to have Windows administrator privileges to do this. 

If you copy the new exe to a different location, it will not work as it will be unable to find the supporting files it requires to run.
