There are a number of steps that must be taken in order to change from HireTrack Eclipse single site to HireTrack Eclipse multi-site.
- Backup your data
- Download the location tables ftp://ftp.navigator.co.uk/pub/upgrade/location.zip and overwrite your location.* files in the Eclipse DATA folder on your server with those in the zip. This is necessary as Multi-site uses the location information to store the different sites, as opposed to single site Eclipse which uses this for locations around the warehouse.
- Download the Eclipse SQL Engine and use it to execute the following two lines of SQL (you must run them separately)
Update "Hetype.DB" set UserT1 = 1
Update "item.DB" set LastService = 1, Int1=1 - Update your token by following this knowledge base article http://www.clubnavigator.co.uk/knowledgebase/topic.asp?id=190 scenario A
- Run the Eclipse Configuration utility. Here you need to perform two functions for each Eclipse user:
i) define which site they have access to.
ii) define what Multi-Site rights each use has in the equipment list editor. - Start HireTrack Eclipse, go to the Multi-site group and open the Transit Time book.
i) Go to the Define Sites page and give a name to each site you have licensed.
ii) Go to the Site Configuration page and enter the relevant info for each site.
iii) Go to the Transit Time page and click on Add New and the Update for each site. On the page you enter in the transit times (hours) between each site the the Standard and Express rates. - To setup your HireTrack Eclipse users to automatically open HireTrack Eclipse as the appropriate site, you need to define command lines switches on each Eclipse shortcut and add the command MS=x where x is the site number e.g. C:\Program Files\Navigator Systems\Eclipse\Eclipse.exe" MS=2
Supervisors are able to switch between sites from the sites menu
Important note: if users at the additional site/s are on an internet connection to the main site that hosts the Eclipse DATA then their implement of HireTrack Eclipse will need to be compliant with the technologies outlined in THIS document. This normally means installing Eclipse on a Windows Terminal Server, if only for remote users.
